What is BaZi?
BaZi is an ancient Chinese way of reading the energy you were born with — and how that energy meets the years of your life. Rooted in a Chinese tradition more than 3,000 years old, it has long been used to understand personality, talents, relationships and timing.

Chinese tradition sees the world — nature, seasons, people — as a play of five basic energies, called the Five Elements.
These energies are always moving: they feed each other (Wood feeds Fire, Fire feeds Earth…) and keep each other in check (Water calms Fire, Metal trims Wood…). Life feels good when they are in balance.
命You were born with your own energy mix
The exact moment you came into the world — the year, the month, the day and the hour — carried a unique blend of these five energies. BaZi captures that blend. Think of it as your energy blueprint.

Some energies in your blueprint are strong, some are weak. That mix shapes your natural personality, your talents, the kind of work that suits you, and the kind of people you click with — or clash with.
衡Balance is the key
Nobody is born perfectly balanced. Someone with lots of Fire may be full of passion but burn out fast; someone with little Water may push hard but struggle to rest and reflect.
A big part of a BaZi reading is finding the energy that helps you most — a bit like knowing what your body needs to feel its best. Once you know it, many things make more sense: why some environments drain you, why some people bring out your best, and which choices tend to work for you.
運Life moves in waves
Your blueprint stays the same, but the energy around you keeps changing. Every year — and every ten-year stretch of your life — brings its own energy.
When the energy of a period gives you what you need, things tend to flow: opportunities appear, effort pays off. When it clashes with your blueprint, that period often brings pressure or change. This is how BaZi talks about timing: When is a good time to make a move? Which years favour love? What should I be careful about this year?
辨Is this like a horoscope?
- No stars or planets. BaZi is based on the rhythm of the seasons and the energy of your birth moment, not on constellations.
- Much more personal than a zodiac sign. Your Chinese zodiac animal (Rat, Dragon…) is only one small piece of your blueprint. Millions of people share your animal; very few share your full energy mix.
- Your birth time and place matter. We adjust for where in the world you were born, so the reading fits you.

問Common questions
What do I need to get started?
Just your date of birth, the time you were born, and the city you were born in. Use your normal birth date, as on your ID or passport.
I don't know my exact birth time. Is that a problem?
Pick the closest time you can. Being off by a few minutes usually makes no difference. If the time is far off, some details become less reliable, but the big picture still works.
Do I have to believe in it?
Not at all. Many people simply enjoy it as a different way of looking at themselves — like a personality test with a few thousand years of history.
Is it free?
